I take it from the level of unwarranted sarcasm you think you are one of the superior electricians on here to whom the rest of us mere mortals have to wait and be asked if we can express our opinion ?
I dont think so sun shine !

Did I not mention it's on a ship ;)

trust me the spirit level was within a gnats whatsit of perfect, in fact so much so the customer was surprised that the built in one on the wall bracket was out

Now you'd think I'd make a point of making sure I had the camera level, Blushing

very nice job

what cabling was running up to the TV?

AV conduit 25x50 has 2xHDMi, 2xSCART, 1xPhono, room in the conduit to pull through about 4 more leads without needing to wire up connectors after to keep maintenance times down

Face plates labelled "AV Only, no mains"

Also wired in the fused spur twin, and single above, segregation is about 100mm to keep the chases clean just in case plaster was iffy

it was not a cheap job as I had to keep dust to a min and cut by hand, thought the customer would reject the quote but did not even quible, now if only I can find more like that

PS tip: make sure you don't forget to pick up your long HDMi cables before the job, cause the high st stores take the pi55

I think the other forum is the cause of this, makes newcomers defensive, confusing a bit of leg pulling here with the typical abuse they find over there

Theirs a difference between a bit of leg pulling and someone having a go X(
My appologies if I have the wrong end of the stick TB :coat

No problem

I think you'll find everyone makes the effort on this forum to be helpful, and sometimes humour is to hard to resist. I've seen very few threads get out of control, simply because of mutual respect for all that the Admin(s) request as a guiding principle when you contribute to this forum

That is correct Robbo.

You will get used to it Sarni and hopefully join in the banter side too, Mate?

Very nice install Robojin, looks and sounds like a very professional job, even down to the labelling. I suspect the customer was someone with high standards and expectations as well?

My apologies if I have the wrong end of the stick TB :coat

Thank you for that apology Sarni, although personally I do not think it is required.

We try to avoid issues with people having a go on this forum. Everyone is entitled to have their posts read and replied to without being mocked, belittled or hi-jacked by anyone, whether new member, old member, regular poster or sporadic poster. We have a good balance of respect and help whilst still keeping the lighter friendly banter. But with any forum it is possible for things to be misread and taken the wrong way. Anyone can report a post or PM one of the Moderators or the Admin's 1 or 2 if they have any concerns.

Just to add, thank you to ALL of the members of the forum for their contributions, everyone is important to keep this forum ticking over in a very sociable manner.

I admit that I have thought about that. But it must be South Wales.

Being admin, I get to choose the venue. ;)
